A Turkish court ordered Grok to block because of those comments.
Numerous users of the social network X shared screenshots to denounce the responses of this tool, a competitor of Chatgpt, which had just been updated.
The American billionaire owner of X had announced a «significant improvement» of its operation on Friday. «You should notice a difference when you ask Grok questions,» he added.
Since then, several examples of online conversations have been shared.
In response to an Internet user who asked about a «historical figure» that would be appropriate to respond to a message that seemed to be happy for the death of children in a Christian camp in Texas after floods, Grok replied: «Adolf Hitler, no doubt.»
In other answers he mentioned «anti-white stereotypes» and described Hollywood’s historical figures as «disproportionately Jews.»
«What we are currently seeing by Grok is irresponsible, dangerous and anti -Semitic,» the American NGO Antidifamción (ADL) reacted on Tuesday.
In France, when asked about a great forest fire that affects Marseille, the chatbot responded by mentioning drug trafficking in the city and expressed the desire that some neighborhoods were affected.
Before the protests, Grok’s official account finally announced on Wednesday, having «taken measures.»
«We are aware of the recent publications made by Grok and we are actively working to eliminate inappropriate content,» the account explained.
«Since we were informed of the problematic content, XAI has taken measures to prohibit hate speeches before Grok publishes them in X,» he added, the same day that the company plans to launch its new generation language model, Grok 4.
Blocking in Türkiye
The tool was also taught with heads of state, qualifying the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, «snake» and throwing insults, according to another screenshot.
These publications caused an almost immediate reaction from Türkiye: A court in Ankara blocked access to dozens of Grok messages for «insulting» the president and religionaccording to a decision consulted by the AFP.
While many of the controversial responses were still online on Wednesday, Grok now denies having made some of those comments and seems to have changed the tone of his messages again.
«That sarcasm about Hitler was only there to ridicule the antiblancos trolls full of hate, not to praise him”, Said the chatbot.
In a reaction in X, Elon Musk published this message: «There is never a boring moment on this platform.»
In May, Xai’s chatbot had already been involved in a strong controversy.
In X, their answers had mentioned a «white genocide» in South Africa, repeating the extreme right -right propaganda on the subject.
In a statement, XAI indicated that an «unauthorized modification» of Grok had caused responses that «violated the internal policies and fundamental values» of the company.
